Domestic Installation Cut-Off Module – Priority for Safety and Compliance

Wilo-MOIB 65VP is a key component of pressure boosting systems, ensuring priority operation of the fire protection installation in combined systems – domestic and fire protection. Its application complies with the Regulation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration on fire protection of buildings, other construction objects and areas, specifically with §25 points 8–9, which allow the connection of sanitary devices to supply lines for the fire protection installation, provided that the independence of water intake for fire extinguishing purposes is maintained. The Wilo-MOIB module meets these conditions, guaranteeing reliable cut-off of water supply for domestic purposes in the event of activation of the fire protection installation.

This module is particularly important in buildings where water supply systems are used for both daily purposes and fire protection. It ensures that in a critical situation, access to water for firefighters will not be restricted by domestic water consumption.

Design and functionality

The Wilo-MOIB 65VP module consists of a flanged passage, a damper actuator and a flow sensor. The flow sensor monitors the operation of the domestic installation and confirms the correct operation of the cut-off module. In the event of detecting problems with the cut-off of the domestic installation, the system signals a light alarm on the hydrofor set controller and transmits information via a collective fault contact. This is a unique function that distinguishes Wilo-MOIB on the market – traditional solutions with mechanical valves do not offer such a possibility of early fault detection.

Additionally, the module has a PZH Hygienic Certificate, which confirms its safety for use with drinking water. It is designed to operate in an ambient temperature from -30°C to 50°C and medium from -10°C to 120°C with a maximum working pressure of 16 bar. The rated voltage is AC 100...240 V (50/60Hz).
