Multistage self-priming pump for professional water supply

Wilo-HiMulti 3-45 P/1/5/230 is an advanced multistage centrifugal pump designed for the efficient transfer and pressure boosting of domestic water and slightly contaminated liquids. Thanks to its self-priming design, it is suitable for residential buildings, farms, and industrial facilities.

Application, technical parameters, and hydraulic performance

The device has been developed for comprehensive water supply from sources such as deep wells, cisterns, and existing municipal networks. The system is effective for garden and agricultural irrigation, sprinkler installations, and applications requiring pressure boosting in existing water supply networks.

The drive unit with a power of 0.8 kW provides a maximum capacity of 6 m³/h with a maximum head of 51.69 meters. The single-phase motor with a supply voltage of 230V draws a rated current of 4.6 A at a rotational speed of 2900 rpm.

The hydraulics, based on a multistage design, generate a maximum working pressure of 8 bar, making it suitable for demanding industrial and agricultural applications. The self-priming system eliminates the need for additional priming of the suction lines before startup.

The design allows for operation with water temperatures ranging from 5°C to 35°C while maintaining full hydraulic efficiency. The pump handles both clean drinking water and liquids containing small amounts of mechanical impurities typical of groundwater or surface water intakes.

Material construction, operational reliability, and operating conditions

The pump housing is made of high-quality plastic PA6T/6I-GF40, which is characterized by excellent resistance to corrosion and aggressive chemical environments found in groundwater or surface water.

The impeller, made of PPE/PS-GF30 material, guarantees high hydraulic efficiency while maintaining resistance to abrasion from particles contained in the liquid. The stainless steel shaft ensures long-term operation without the need for maintenance.

The BVPFF type mechanical seal made of EPDM eliminates the possibility of leaks throughout the entire service life without the need for servicing or replacing sealing elements.

The pump maintains full functionality across a wide range of ambient temperatures from -15°C to +40°C, allowing for installation both indoors and outdoors, provided appropriate protection against weather conditions is maintained.

G1 (25mm) threaded connections on the suction and discharge sides allow for standard connection of steel or plastic pipes typically used in domestic and agricultural installations without the need for specialized adapters or reduction fittings.

Insulation class F and protection rating IPX4 guarantee safe operation even under unfavorable environmental conditions characteristic of boiler rooms or technical basements where air humidity is elevated.

Operating ergonomics, quiet operation, and energy efficiency

The HiControl 1 control system provides automatic control of pumping operations with variable hydraulic load and intelligent motor startup management, protecting against current surges during startup.

Wilo-Connector enables rapid electrical connection without the need to intervene in the device's internal electrical installation. The built-in on/off switch allows for easy operation control and immediate unloading of the hydraulic system.

The noise level is 56-64 dBA, which allows the device to be installed close to residential rooms without disturbing the acoustic comfort of the building's users.
