Pump Failure Alarm – Wilo-DrainAlarm

Wilo-DrainAlarm is a network-independent alarm device designed for wall mounting. Its function is to warn of potential failures in pumping systems, allowing for a quick response and minimizing the effects of downtime. The device signals an alarm both visually and audibly, providing a clear warning signal.

Functionality and application

The device is particularly useful in installations where reliable pump operation is critical – e.g., in wastewater drainage systems, water supply systems or industrial applications. Thanks to the possibility of connecting an external float switch, Wilo-DrainAlarm can monitor the liquid level and trigger an alarm in the event of unwanted changes. The alarm signal informs about the need for intervention, allowing to avoid more serious problems, such as flooding or equipment damage.

The device has one potential-free changeover contact (230 VAC/1 A) and one potential changeover contact (12 VDC/1 A), which allows integration with existing control and automation systems. Please note that sensors are not included and must be provided by the user. In potentially explosive atmospheres, a safe current circuit (Zener barrier or isolating relay) must be used. The device operates in a temperature range from -20°C to 50°C and is powered by 230 V.
