Complete hydraulic set for floor and radiator systems

This mixing circuit module is a ready-made solution that eliminates the need for manual assembly of individual hydraulic components. The device is designed for direct mounting on buffer tanks from the BSP and BSP-SL series, significantly simplifying the installation process in boiler rooms. Inside the housing, all necessary components for operating two heating circuits are located – both those working at low temperatures (e.g., underfloor heating) and at higher temperatures (radiators). This allows the installer to receive a fully functional unit ready for operation after connection, while the end-user gains stable and efficient heat distribution.

Key construction elements and their impact on system operation

The interior of the module is filled with high energy-efficiency components, which translate into lower operating costs. The set includes two stepless high-efficiency pumps with DN 15-60 diameter (according to manufacturer data for this model), characterized by an Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) below 0.23. Such a low index means that the pumps consume a minimal amount of electricity, and their stepless regulation allows for perfect flow adjustment to the building's current thermal needs.

Temperature control is achieved using two three-way mixing valves with DN20 diameter and a kvs value of 4.0. They are equipped with actuators operating at 230V with a stroke time of 210 seconds. This operating time ensures smooth and precise mixing of return water with water from the buffer tank, preventing sudden temperature spikes in heating circuits. Additionally, each circuit is equipped with:

  • Ball valves on supply and return – allow isolation of a specific circuit without the need to drain the entire system or buffer tank, which is crucial during maintenance.
  • Drain valve – facilitates draining the installation in case of repair or component replacement.
  • Integrated check valve – blocks unwanted gravity flow (so-called "cross-flow") when the pump is switched off.
  • Bypasses with adjustable flow – allow maintaining a constant flow through the pump even when thermostatic valves in the radiator circuit are closed, protecting the equipment from overheating.

Application and performance parameters

The module is suitable for both new installations and modernization of existing heating systems connected to buffer tanks. Its construction allows handling circuits with different temperature requirements simultaneously. Thanks to thermal insulation made of EPP (expanded polypropylene) material, heat losses are minimized, and the entire device looks aesthetic and professional in the boiler room.

The thermal output of the unit depends on the adopted water temperature difference: with a Δt = 10K drop, the module delivers up to 9 kW of power, whereas with a larger drop of Δt = 20K, it achieves 18 kW. At a maximum volumetric flow rate of 780 l/h, the pressure drop is 150 mbar. All these parameters indicate a device capable of efficient operation in typical domestic heating installations with medium heat demand.

The presence of thermometers in the system and flat gaskets ensuring tightness of flat-bottomed connections makes the installation not only efficient but also safe and easy to visually monitor the hydraulic system status. The whole constitutes a complete heat distribution system requiring only the connection of pipelines and electrical control of the actuators.
