The Zehnder ComfoConnect KNX C module is a device that enables the integration of the Zehnder heat recovery ventilation system with a KNX installation. It allows for advanced control of the recuperator's operation, monitoring of its status, and automation of ventilation processes in the building. This module is designed to work with central units and is not compatible with the Basic system.

Functionality and application

ComfoConnect KNX C acts as an interface between the recuperator and the building control system based on the KNX standard. It enables the transmission of device status data (e.g., fan speed, temperature, filter status) to the KNX system and the reception of control commands (e.g., change of operating mode, setting of ventilation speed). This makes it possible to create an integrated building climate management system, taking into account parameters such as temperature, humidity, CO2 level, or the presence of people in the rooms.

The module allows for remote control of the recuperator's operation using touch panels, mobile applications, or other devices connected to the KNX system. Additionally, it enables monitoring of the filter status and a reminder to replace it. Thanks to two ComfoNet ports, additional modules and devices can be connected in the Zehnder system.

Technical characteristics

The module draws power from the ComfoNet bus at +12V DC, and its nominal current consumption is 0.02 A. It has two ComfoNet ports for connecting additional devices and a KNX-TP port for communication with the KNX bus. A built-in reset button allows you to restore factory settings and restart the device. An LED indicates the connection status with the recuperator and the status of KNX communication. The device operates in a wide range of ambient temperatures (-20°C to +60°C) and has protection against moisture.
