Such networks are created in large multi-family houses with several entrances and industrial facilities. In addition to this division, individual devices can be equipped with hermetic protection that protects against getting wet by rain. Internal buttons should not be installed outside the building. Moisture and temperature changes cause signal interference, and pressing may result in electric shock.
To sum up, the choice of an outdoor bell button depends on the type of building, its surface and the effect we want to achieve. Adapting the button to changing weather conditions is of great importance. It would also be good if it had a backlight and a volume control function. The latter functionality is useful when there are small children or hearing-impaired people at home. Moreover, it sometimes happens that too quiet sound is disturbed by sounds from television, or in plants by operating equipment.
How to connect a bell button?
The method of mounting and fastening the button depends on the type of bell. It is best to install wired bells before laying out the external façade and finishing the building to easily hide the cable. It is worth noting that rare failures of such devices occur when the rated voltage in the network exceeds the permissible values, for example during a lightning strike.
