How does a PTC heater work?
Heaters are an extensive category of heating solutions. They belong to the heating elements of technical devices. The PTC heater is a specific type of electric heater whose operating principle is different from all other types of heaters. It contains polycrystalline ceramic material enriched with barium titanate. PTC heating elements are located in a compact, compact aluminum housing. The characteristic feature is the opposite arrangement of metallic coatings that act as electrodes.
PTC heaters operate on the principle of self-regulation, which in practice means that they automatically change the power depending on the prevailing temperature (the heat received from the surface of the PTC heating element is decisive). They don't run at maximum power all the time. As the temperature increases, the power decreases until a certain point.
