How to attach a faucet in the bathroom? Step-by-step installation
When preparing the water installation for a tap with a standing washbasin, the pipes ending with shut-off valves should be left at a height of about 40-50 cm above the floor. During the installation of the tap in the bathroom, it is necessary to ensure that the valves are located at an even distance from the axis along the washbasin
The wall-mounted battery must be connected directly to the connection terminals, to which the eccentric connectors must be screwed. After the connectors have been properly set and the level has been checked using a spirit level, the cover rosettes are placed on the connectors and then the batteries are screwed on.
Installing a single-hole standing washbasin tap requires several steps:
- Feed the hoses through the mounting hole(s) in the sink, making sure they are long enough and not under tension, leaving a little slack.
- Screw the hoses into the faucet body, preferably by hand to avoid damage. If necessary, you can tighten them with a flat wrench.
- Tighten the mounting screws using a screwdriver – make sure they are tightened securely.
- Place the gasket on the battery.
- Install the faucet into the sink hole.
- Place the crescent-shaped rubber and metal mounting pads on the bottom of the mounting screws.
- Place the nuts on the mounting bolts and tighten them using a box wrench.
- Connect the hoses: the left one to the hot water valve and the right one to the cold water valve.
- Pay attention to the spout - it must be positioned precisely to ensure even and efficient water distribution.
- Check all connections for leaks – check that metal parts are securely tightened, then turn on the water and make sure there are no leaks from the hoses.
Installing a bathroom faucet with a filter to the wall may require a bit more work than installing it on a countertop. The installation will be similar for a bathtub.
How deep should I embed the battery connector?
The depth of the faucet connection in the bathroom sink is usually around 10-15 mm. Bathroom faucets are available in many types, e.g.: standing swivel, with a click-clack stopper, with a high-swivel spout. Therefore, it is worth checking the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer of the faucet and sink - there may be differences depending on the specific model. It is also worth making sure that the connection is properly attached and tightly connected so that water does not leak out.
