Starting with VR MINI - the smallest fan heater in the portfolio, VTS is starting to introduce the latest EC engines to its offer. What advantages and novelties appear with the arrival of new engines? Introducing below!
The engine issues a +10 V DC signal - the user can start the heater without a controller. Fig. 1a, 1b show a comparison of the heater connection with the previous and new engine.

The motor protection level is IP 54. According to the PN-EN 60529:2003 standard, the first characteristic digit 5 means that the casing of the electrical device provides protection against the ingress of dust in quantities that would interfere with the proper operation of the device, while the second digit 4 means that the casing provides protection against water splashes from all sides of the housing. Thanks to this, the Volcano device can be used in rooms with more demanding conditions.
The engine is standardly equipped with a lead-out cable with described terminals. This makes connecting the engine itself even simpler and intuitive. The installer no longer unscrews the engine casing, maintaining its factory protection level, and uses the cable provided by VTS (Fig. 2), which minimizes the chance of incorrect connection.

The last but equally important change, which translates into benefits, is the reduction of the size of the engine, while maintaining all the elements of its predecessor (Fig. 3).

95 mm of space gain behind the heater allows for even greater air availability, which results in uninterrupted air suction by the fan. It should also be noted that thanks to the smaller size of the engine, its weight also decreases, which makes installation easier. The consequence of the smaller dimensions is the reduction of the boxes into which the Volcano VR MINI EC is packed, which means that one Euro pallet can accommodate as many as 12 devices, instead of 8 as previously (Fig. 4).

VTS started implementing new engines gradually - from the smallest heaters. After accepting the solution, the remaining heaters in the series will also undergo changes, i.e. VOLCANO VR1, VR2, VR3 and the VR-D destratifier, which will also appear in a smaller version as VR-D MINI. The goal is to provide customers with the most effective solutions, characterized by excellent design and quality, at a competitive, affordable price. In this way, the company's role in creating the reality of heaters in Europe will become even greater and will strengthen VTS's position among the market leaders.
