In the next few days, recruitment for the Moje Prąd 5.0 program will begin - government subsidies for the installation of photovoltaic panels. The maximum amount of subsidies is to reach up to PLN 58,000. zloty. Let's take a look at the rules of this program.

The recruitment of applications for subsidies for photovoltaic installations under the Moje Prąd 4.0 program has barely been completed, the government announced that it will be continued and that soon more people will be able to apply for subsidies. In 2023, the program will cover new devices and the maximum subsidy amount will also increase.
My Current 5.0 - rules
Previous editions of the program offered subsidies for photovoltaic panels. My Electricity 5.0 introduces a significant modification in that the material scope of funding is also to be extended to include a heat pump and a solar collector.
In addition, the subsidy will be available, as before, for:
- purchase and installation of a photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 2 kW to 10 kW;
- purchase and installation of devices used to increase self-consumption, i.e.: heat buffers , hot water tanks (boilers), heat pumps for hot water, as well as energy storage facilities with a capacity of less than 2 kWh;
- purchase and installation of energy management systems, i.e. the so-called HEMS/EMS systems, but provided that they complement the system consisting of photovoltaic panels and heat or electricity storage.
As far as solar collectors are concerned, the subsidy will cover devices used for preparing domestic hot water. In turn, air and ground heat pumps and others for domestic hot water purposes will be subsidized.
As in previous years, also in 2023, the Moje Prąd program will remain addressed to natural persons who install a PV (photovoltaic) installation on the roof of a single-family building (of course, it must be asbestos-free!) in order to meet their own energy needs.
It should be taken for granted that funding for Moje Prąd 5.0 in 2023 will also still depend on the use of net-billing. Therefore, only those who installed a PV system after April 1, 2022 or those who decide to switch from the discount system to the net-billing system will be able to receive the funds.
Your heat source will not affect your ability to benefit from the subsidy - this is also certain information. People heating their homes include: coal, wood, gas, pellets or system heat will most likely be able to receive subsidies from the Moje Prąd 5.0 program.
My Electricity 5.0 - amount of funding
According to government announcements, the maximum amount of subsidy from the Moje Prąd 5.0 program is to reach as much as PLN 58,000. zloty. This is a huge increase compared to the previous edition, in which you could receive no more than 31,000. zloty.
According to Paweł Mirowski, deputy president of the Management Board of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, the amounts of funding under the Moje Prąd 5.0 program are to be:
- for a photovoltaic installation (without additional elements) - up to PLN 6,000. zloty;
- for a photovoltaic installation coupled with other additional elements - up to PLN 7,000. zloty;
- for heat storage - up to 5 thousand zloty;
- for energy storage - up to 16 thousand zloty;
- for the HEMS/EMS system - up to PLN 3,000 zloty.
Note - the amount of subsidy for a specific project cannot exceed 50%. its eligible costs.
Subsidies for heat pumps for the central heating system are to amount to:
- for an air-to-air heat pump - up to PLN 4.4 thousand zloty;
- for an air-water heat pump - up to PLN 12.6 thousand zloty;
- for an air-water heat pump with increased energy efficiency class - up to PLN 19.4 thousand zloty;
- for a ground heat pump with increased energy efficiency class - up to PLN 28,000. zloty.

Additionally, the subsidy for solar collectors is to amount to PLN 3.5 thousand. zloty.
So who will be able to count on obtaining the maximum subsidy amount of PLN 58,000? zloty? Of course, these will only be people who invest in all subsidized solutions, i.e.:
- photovoltaic installation;
- heat storage;
- energy storage;
- HEMS/EMS system;
- heat pump and solar collector.
When does the Moje Prąd 5.0 program come into force?
According to the announcement of Minister Anna Moskwa, the recruitment of applications for the My Electricity 5.0 program is to start in the second half of April. The exact date is not known, but according to the Energy Consulting Project, the acceptance of applications is to start on Earth Day, i.e. April 22, 2023.
