Various information has circulated about government subsidies for photovoltaic installations installed by individuals. Currently, the government maintains that the Moje Prąd 5.0 program will start in the second half of April this year.
Moje Prąd is a subsidy program for photovoltaic installations - and in the latest edition 5.0 also for heat pumps and solar collectors - installed by individuals to meet their own energy needs. The subsidies make this environmentally and wallet-friendly investment even more profitable.
When does the recruitment of applications for the Moje Prąd 5.0 program start?
According to government information, applications for obtaining subsidies from the Moje Prąd 5.0 program are to start in the coming days, in the second half of April 2023. The announcement of the Energy Consulting Project shows that this option will be launched on Earth Day, April 22.

Financing for photovoltaics in the Moje Prąd 5.0 program
Similarly to previous editions, Moje Prąd 5.0 will also be addressed to individuals who have a photovoltaic installation on the roof of a single-family building. There is no income criterion. Financing for photovoltaics will also be available, as before, regardless of what the house is heated with. The net-billing system will remain in place, so only those who installed photovoltaic installations after April 1, 2022 or those who will switch from the discount system to the net-billing system will be able to receive funds.
As for the subsidy amounts, according to the announcement of Paweł Mirowski, deputy president of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, they are to amount to:
- for a photovoltaic installation without additional elements - up to PLN 6,000. zloty;
- for a photovoltaic installation with another additional device - up to PLN 7,000. zloty;
- for heat storage - up to 5 thousand zloty;
- for energy storage - up to 16 thousand zloty;
- for the HEMS/EMS system - up to PLN 3,000 zloty.
Importantly, the amount of subsidy for a specific project cannot exceed 50%. its eligible costs.
When to install photovoltaics to benefit from the subsidy?
Photovoltaics is becoming more and more popular every year due to positive opinions and available subsidies. People interested in this solution probably know that previous editions of the Moje Prąd program were quickly used; this was because of the small budget. Since in the current edition, as before, grants are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis until the pool of funds is exhausted, the application should be submitted as soon as possible after this option is launched.
The whole process looks like this:
- selecting an installation company and agreeing on the investment details with it, including the willingness to use the Moje Prąd 5.0 program
- installation of a photovoltaic installation;
- reporting to the energy company and replacing meters;
- submitting an application for funding from the Moje Prąd 5.0 program to the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management; this is usually done by specialists from the company installing the photovoltaic installation, but you can also do it yourself;
- monitoring the status of the application and waiting for the funds to be transferred.
Is My Electricity 5.0 the last chance for subsidies?
It's definitely better to hurry up and take advantage. The government will probably announce whether there will be further editions of the Moje Prąd program (or a new program on different terms), and therefore whether it will be possible to obtain subsidies for the installation of photovoltaic installations, only after the pool of funds planned for 2023 has been exhausted. Which is most likely will happen quickly.
Currently, the question cannot be answered with certainty whether My Electricity 5.0 is the last chance for subsidies, but the risk exists.
Recommended photovoltaic inverters in the Onninen hydraulic and electrical wholesaler
In addition to submitting an application for funding, the choice of a photovoltaic installation is also important. Let's take a look at examples of photovoltaic inverters for which subsidies can be obtained, available at the Onninen wholesaler:
GOODWE GW5K-ET PLUS hybrid inverter - advanced hybrid inverter with powerful capabilities. Thanks to passive cooling and no fans, it is very quiet. It has advanced MPPT technology, allowing you to maximize the efficiency of solar panels and increase electricity production. Thanks to the intelligent battery charging function, the user has full control over the charging process and the use of energy stored in the batteries. The inverter uses power optimization technology, which, thanks to the built-in optimizer, allows the device's output to be adjusted to the current energy consumption, which reduces energy costs.
Huawei FusionSolar inverter - three-phase, 2-MPPT High Current. It has built-in communication (RS485, WLAN via Smart Dongle), DC disconnector, 8kW/8.8kVA, AC and DC type II surge arresters and a battery charging interface.
