Mój Prąd 6.0 - what changes does the new edition of the program bring and who can benefit?

Added: Monday, 12/9/2024

Mój Prąd 6.0 (MP6) is the sixth edition of the government's subsidy program for photovoltaic micro-installations. The new edition focuses more strongly than any previous one on energy and heat storage. Under the program, it is possible to obtain subsidies of up to 50% of eligible costs - up to PLN 7,000 for a photovoltaic installation and up to PLN 16,000 for an energy storage! Find out what changes the new edition of the program brings and who can benefit from the subsidy. See for yourself whether it is still worth investing in renewable energy sources.

When does the My Electricity 6.0 program start?

The application process for the My Electricity 6.0 Priority Program began on September 2, 2024 and will last until December 20, 2024 or until funds are exhausted. The budget of the latest edition of the program has been increased from PLN 400 million to as much as... PLN 1.25 billion! But it's still worth hurrying, because over 60,000 applications have already been submitted by November 21, 2024.

Who can apply for funding from the My Electricity 6.0 program?

Photovoltaic kit 5kW (PV panel 400W JA Solar all black, three-phase hybrid inverter Huawei 5kW, hermetic DC/AC switchboard, MC4 connectors) 12-year warranty on HUA JAS 400WP/5 KW panels Prosumers (individuals) who: can apply for funding from the Mój Prąd 6.0 programme for renewable energy sources.

  • by 31 July 2024, they connected a photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 2 to 10 kW,
  • after August 1, 2024, they connected a photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 2 to 20 kW with an energy storage or heat storage.

Additional conditions to be met are described in the next paragraph.

What conditions must be met in the Mój Prąd 6.0 program?

Split air heat pump Atlantic Extensa AI Duo R32 - 10 kW The basic condition for granting funding is of course the timely submission of an electronic application together with the required attachments. In addition:

  • the prosumer must settle in the net-billing system;
  • Reported photovoltaic installations must be connected to the electricity grid;
  • reported electricity storage facilities must be reported to the distribution network operator;
  • the capacity of all RES installations owned by a given prosumer cannot exceed 50 kW;
  • PV installations reported for connection to the electricity grid from 1 August 2024 must have a power of 2 kW to 20 kW and be equipped with an energy or heat storage;
  • the minimum capacity of an energy storage facility reported for funding is 2 kWh, and of a heat storage facility reported - 20 dm3 (this is the demand for domestic hot water for one person);
  • the PV micro-installation must be installed, paid for and launched.

It is possible to apply for funding for a PV installation for which the prosumer has already received funds from the Mój Prąd program, but has expanded it with additional elements, e.g. an electricity storage facility.

How much are the subsidies in the My Electricity 6.0 program?

For PV micro-installations reported for connection by July 31, 2024, you can receive:

  • up to PLN 6,000 for the PV micro-installation alone,
  • up to PLN 7,000 for PV micro-installations with an optional additional element, with a separate subsidy provided for the additional element in the amount of:
    • up to PLN 16,000 for an energy storage facility,
    • up to PLN 5,000 for a heat storage facility.

Solplanet ASW 6K-LT-G2 PRO three-phase inverter, 6kW, 2 MPPT, DC disconnect, Wi-Fi, RS485, 4G option IP66, 10-year warranty ASW_6K-LT-G2_PRO For PV micro-installations reported for connection from 1 August 2024 (i.e. already obligatorily with an energy storage or heat storage) you can receive:

  • up to PLN 7,000, with a separate subsidy provided for the mandatory additional element in the amount of:
    • up to PLN 16,000 for an energy storage facility,
    • up to PLN 5,000 for a heat storage facility.

In none of the above cases may the amount of funding exceed 50% of eligible costs.

It is worth knowing that, similarly to previous editions of the Mój Prąd program, also in the sixth edition, the prosumer can combine the program subsidy with the thermal modernization relief. However, he is obliged to reduce the costs presented for settlement by the amount of the subsidy obtained from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.

Maximum subsidy rates in the My Electricity 6.0 program

The subsidy limits under the Mój Prąd 6.0 program are presented in the paragraph above. In total, a prosumer can receive up to PLN 28,000! The maximum subsidy amount is provided for new photovoltaic installations with heat storage and energy storage. Detailed information about the program, applications and subsidy amounts can be found at https://mojprad.gov.pl. The program is operated by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW).
