In 1943 Danfoss introduced their first radiator thermostats . Now, 80 years later, the latest mechanical radiator thermostats are designed to improve energy efficiency and comfort in buildings. The new product line includes both standard liquid thermostats and unique gas thermostats, combining well-known features such as the snap-in connector (click) with new features such as a front scale for improved visibility of settings.

Even more precise control with Danfoss thermostats
In April 2021, the EN215 standard introduced new requirements for energy efficiency. It includes a classification of control accuracy (CA), which measures the difference between the temperature set on the thermostat and the room temperature. The lower the CA value, the more accurately the thermostat maintains the set temperature. Thermostats with a lower CA value help avoid overheating and achieve higher indoor comfort.
The new Danfoss thermostat range complies with the EN215 standard and achieves the highest possible rating – 0.2 K – for all 3 thermostat variants – Aero™, Redia™, Regus™. The fast reaction time to changes in ambient temperature, ranging from 10 to 22 minutes depending on the model, is, in addition to the CA index, an additional feature that has an impact on the achieved energy savings. The range includes many types of connections (RA, RTD, M30, M28), thus ensuring a perfect fit for each installation.
How to save energy with Danfoss gas thermostats?
The new range of thermostats includes:
Danfoss Aero™ thermostats, which use unique gas bellows technology. Studies [1] show that the temperature control of gas thermostats is more accurate than that of liquid thermostats, which in turn reduces the amount of energy used. The result is additional energy savings of up to 2% [2] .
To help users regulate the temperature more precisely, a front scale has been added. Additionally, each marking on the main scale of the thermostat corresponds to 1°C. This is especially important when we know that reducing the temperature by 1°C saves about 5% energy.

Is it possible to protect against manipulation and theft with Danfoss thermostats?
Yes, Aero™ Thermostats help save money in other areas as well. The tamper-proof version helps prevent vandalism. It is very durable, so it is ideal for public buildings, and the anti-theft protection provides additional protection for the thermostats - dismantling can only be done with a special tool.
The new thermostats also have built-in temperature setpoint limiting options, allowing building managers to prevent unauthorized people from changing the thermostat temperature.
What convenience do Danfoss thermostats offer installers?
The new thermostat range also includes features designed with installers in mind. The unique click-connection function, familiar to installers, has been incorporated into our new radiator thermostats. The click-connection enables quick, secure installation without the use of tools.
Installers can also use the Danfoss Installer App to access the necessary installation tools and conversion tips. This will make it easier for installers to switch to the new thermostat series.
