Increasingly, underfloor heating is becoming the basic heating system in single-family houses. This solution allows us to reduce the costs of heating our homes.
The temperature for supplying the underfloor heating system is based on 38-45°C, while radiator heating is powered by a medium with a temperature above 60°C. Thanks to this, when using underfloor heating, we gain:
- energy efficiency 6-12% compared to other systems,
- greater heating power at low temperature,
- high thermal comfort – when our feet are warm, the temperature we feel automatically increases.
To ensure even temperature distribution in rooms, distributors are used. They enable setting the correct operating parameters independently for each heating circuit in the surface heating system.

Valvex underfloor heating manifold
Valvex stainless steel manifolds are intended for central heating installations radiator and surface heating . They are made of the highest quality AISI S201 stainless steel . They are characterized by:
- special strength and corrosion resistance (salt chamber tests),
- low flow resistance heating medium,
- ease of assembly due to its structure and dimensions compared to brass manifolds,
- complete manifold for underfloor heating equipped with control valves, thermostatic valves and flow meters,
- stainless steel distributor with nipples, rotameters, drain valves and air vents.
Control valves with flow meters allow for proper adjustment of flows in all heating loops in a precise and easy way. They have a clear scale indicating the current flow of the medium.
In order to regulate the temperature of the system, thermostatic actuators can be installed on the thermostatic valves on the manifold's return beam, which, in cooperation with room thermostats, automatically adjust the flow of the heating medium to individual preferences. Adjustment can also be made by manually setting the valve, unscrewing or tightening it according to your needs.
Features of the underfloor distributor:
- accurate measurement and quick adjustment,
- flow 0.5–5 l/min,
- locking ring – securing settings,
- can be disassembled for easy cleaning.
Valvex pump and circulation group
In central heating installations, the heat source (solid fuel boiler, gas boiler, etc.) is equipped with a circulation pump. This pump is designed to transfer the heating medium to the receivers. For underfloor heating, an additional pump group with a thermostatic mixing valve is required. The purpose of using an additional pump is to overcome flow resistance on underfloor heating loops. The thermostatic mixing valve is designed to mix the heating medium to lower underfloor heating supply temperatures (30-40°C). Valvex offers pumping and mixing groups for manifolds with various pumps:
- BASE pumping and mixing group using a three-stage glandless circulation pump (RS 25/6, lifting height 6.0 m H2O, 130 mm) - it is an economical product in the customer's financial classification,
- PROFF pumping and mixing group using an electronic pump (Yonos PARA, RS 25/6, RKA, lifting height 6.0 m H2O, 130 mm) – sets the standard for energy-saving solutions for integrated heating systems. This pump has a smooth speed control characterized by a new energy efficiency coefficient EE I, less than or equal to 0.27. The pump used in the PROFF pumping and mixing group has an EE I coefficient value of < 0.20, which goes beyond the framework of the ErP directive.
Underfloor heating control system
TO ENSURE ACCURATE ADJUSTMENT OF THE HEATING SYSTEM, WE MUST HAVE A DISTRIBUTOR WITH THERMOELECTRONIC ACTUATORS AND AN APPROPRIATE CONTROL SYSTEM.
The Valvex electronic underfloor heating control system is:
- control strip, mounted near a surface-mounted or flush-mounted cabinet,
- thermoelectronic actuators connected with a two-wire cable to the control strip,
- room thermostats communicating with the control strip via radio or an electric cable.
Each room can be controlled independently. The room thermostat manages the temperature in the room where it is installed. It sends a signal to the control strip, which appropriately manages the thermoelectric actuators, closing or opening them. Valvex offers both wired and wireless controllers.
