Although these are not failures that prevent you from using the installation, they can make it really difficult. Pressure drops and related complications may lead to the need to frequently check the water level and refill or release it. The solution to such problems may be continuous measurement of water pressure. What do you need to know about this? What role do pressure sensors play in this process? What could be the causes of a drop or increase in blood pressure? How to effectively deal with the causes of such changes? We discuss these issues in detail in a new article.

Where do changes in water pressure in a gas furnace come from?
When the water pressure sensor shows deviations from the norm, the first step should be to find the cause of the problem. Fluid pressure can drop or rise for many reasons. If the value is too low, it is necessary to check the tightness of individual elements of the installation - e.g. pipes or the valve membrane may be damaged. The problem may also be caused by damage or incorrect positioning of the expansion tank.
With regard to the increase in pressure, it is worth looking primarily at the expansion tank (vessel). It should be used to compensate liquid pressure. Otherwise, the pressure may increase to more than 3 bar.
When looking for the cause of pressure problems, measurement errors cannot be ruled out. The sensor may transmit false values due to incorrect installation or damage. It also happens that the vibrations of the furnace damage the connection between the sensor and the equipment. In such cases, positive effects may be brought by, for example, improving the contacts - after such an operation, the parameters will return to normal.
How to maintain the correct water pressure in a gas furnace?
If the measurement of relative pressure shows irregularities, actions to lower or raise it should be implemented as soon as possible. If the pressure is too low, the solution may be to supplement the installation with water. A large drop should prompt you to clean the boiler. However, the pressure can be lowered through a relief valve in the gas furnace or in the central heating system. Additionally, it is important to perform regular inspections. It will allow you to quickly detect possible leaks and avoid longer shutdowns of the installation while repairs are carried out.
