What is the AHRI certification for?

JAG plate heat exchangers have successfully passed tests in accordance with the requirements of the ANSI/AHRI 400 standard and thus the Hexonic JF series single-phase heat exchangers have obtained AHRI LLHE (Liquid to Liquid Heat Exchangers) certification.

AHRI-certified exchangers will now have a model designation with the prefix A (for AHRI), and therefore the type range will consist of types AJFA, AJFB, AJFC, AJFD, AJFE and AJFG. The devices can be manufactured in accordance with PED or ASME pressure regulations and will receive the AHRI symbol on the nameplate.

The AHRI certificate confirms:

  1. high degree of efficiency of exchangers;
  2. optimized thermal properties of heating plates with unique JAG geometry;
  3. compliance of the operating parameters of the plate heat exchanger with the technical data provided by the manufacturer;
  4. precision and correctness of device selection by the proprietary CAIRO selection program.

How is AHRI certification carried out?

Physical tests are always performed by an independent laboratory, in this case DMT in Germany. The institute's experts verified the compliance of the products with specific standards and specifications. After successfully passing certification tests, we can offer our AHRI standard exchangers to customers around the world. The certificate was issued for water, brine and glycols. Products that have been certified must maintain the level once confirmed, therefore they are constantly tested in accordance with AHRI guidelines and guidelines. The certification program is conducted by the non-profit Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) in cooperation with the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and the French Accreditation Commission (Le Comité Français d'Accréditation - COFRAC), in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17065 standard and the Type 4 certification system. AHRI is the only independent organization that performs energy certification of plate heat exchangers worldwide.
