The latest Wilo-Atmos PICO circulation pump belongs to the family of glandless pumps with an EC motor resistant to blocking current and integrated, electronic performance control. The design of the Wilo-Atmos PICO is based on the proven platform of pumps from the PICO series intended for the smallest systems with heating water, chilled water and glycol mixtures with a concentration of up to 50%.
As a practical circulation pump, it is an exceptionally easy to install and operate device. Solutions proven in many years of practice have enabled us to grant both this and other pumps from the PICO series a 5-year warranty with the assurance of quick replacement in the event of damage.
Practical circulation pump - reliability and comfort of work
The priority adopted during the design of the new pump was to ensure maximum comfort for the installer, as well as operation by the user expecting clarity and a basic range of functions. The standard dimensions of the pump housing made of cast iron and known from a pump such as the Wilo-Yonos PICO1.0 ensure an identical method of installation in the system.
If you need to replace an old, worn-out pump, you can keep the body in good working order and replace only the motor block with the rotor and automation. Easily accessible screws from the front allow you to turn the motor body to a position convenient for servicing (according to the permissible settings in the assembly instructions).
The ease of installation will also be appreciated during electrical work. The Wilo-Connector known from other pumps not only provides a safe, durable and stable electrical connection, but also does not require much time or special assembly tools.
Solid construction adapted to demanding operating conditions
The cast iron pump body, and in particular the highly cavitation-resistant hydraulics developed on the basis of many years of practice, enable operation in virtually all types of installations. These can be both modern closed systems and older types - open ones.
In the case of the latter, the operating conditions may be difficult due to low inlet pressures, high water temperatures and increased air content. The Wilo -Atmos PICO pump can, for example, operate in an open system with a height of only 3 meters and a temperature of 95°C, while the vast majority of pumps in this segment require a water column of 5 to 10 meters.

Low or high fluid and ambient temperatures? That's not a problem
As one of the few pumps on the market, Wilo-Atmos PICO can operate with a liquid temperature from -10 to 95°C, and even up to 110°C (at an ambient temperature of 25°C). The ambient temperature is permissible in the range of -10 to 40°C. Unlike the market standard (for most pumps up to 30%), it is possible to use mixtures with glycol in a concentration of up to 50%. This is possible thanks to the highest precision of workmanship, low internal resistance and high motor torque.
One button to operate the practical Wilo circulation pump
Starting the pump is exceptionally intuitive. Using the green button, you can select one of the control modes – according to variable pressure (dp-v) or constant rotational speed. For each mode, 3 levels of the performance curve are available. In total, we have 6 pump operation settings, which are signalled in a clear way by appropriate LED diodes.
Additionally, the central LED diode signals the correct operation of the pump or flashes one of the message codes. In this way, for example, the presence of air, impeller blockage, too low or too high supply voltage, or pump overload are signaled.

Useful functions to ensure continuous operation of the Wilo-Atmos PICO circulation pump
The Wilo-Atmos PICO pump uses the functions of the PICO series pumps that are unique on the market. These include automatic rotor deblocking, which is activated, for example, after a longer period of pump downtime and sticking of rotating parts. The automatic system makes multiple attempts to free the rotor by causing it to vibrate. Venting of the rotor chamber can be easily triggered manually by setting the maximum speed for approx. 10 minutes.
Selecting the right pump and operating control mode for your needs
There are 3 Wilo-Atmos PICO models to choose from, covering most installations in small buildings of any purpose. All of them have a standard installation length of 180 mm and threaded connections Rp 1".
Adaptation to the required operating conditions consists in the aforementioned selection of the mode and operating efficiency. In the case of radiator installations, it is recommended to select the variable pressure mode dp-v, while for other types of installations, including underfloor heating – constant pump speed. It should be emphasized that in each mode, Wilo-Atmos PICO will operate with a smoothly reduced electrical power consumption – from just 4 W. This is the result of using a highly efficient EC motor with an energy consumption index EEI below 0.20 (0.23 for the 25/1-8 model).
