Wilo -DrainLift MINI3 is a new series of compact sewage pumping stations developed on the basis of many years of experience in this segment of devices. The devices are intended for use in private facilities in accordance with the requirements of PN-EN 12050-2 or PN-EN 12050-3, i.e. for sewage without faeces or with faeces. For commercial purposes, Wilo offers series of larger pumping stations such as Wilo-DrainLift SANI or with a cutting blade Wilo-DrainLift SANI-CUT.
Adaptation of new living space thanks to the use of a compact sewage pumping station
Increasingly often, thanks to modernization, additional areas can be obtained for residential purposes in single-family houses. This can be, for example, a consequence of replacing an old solid fuel boiler with a new heating device that does not require such an area and fuel composition. The rooms can be located below the drain to the sewage system, so if you want to equip them with sanitary ware, there is no possibility of draining the sewage with a natural slope towards the external sewage system. The only solution here will be to use a sewage pumping station.

The series includes 2 models for grey water : -XXS, -XS and 1 model for sewage with faeces -XS/WC. With the user and contractor in mind, they are the only ones on the market offered with a 2-year warranty combined with factory service care at the customer's home . In particular, service care is an asset not only for the owner of the device, but also for the installer, saving him time and money in the event of an emergency that would be spent on a service visit.
Wide range of possibilities for combining Wilo-DrainLift MINI3 with sanitary ware
In accordance with the PN-EN 12050-3 standard, the following sanitary utensils can be connected to a compact sewage and faeces pumping station such as the Wilo-DrainLift MINI3-XS/WC:
- 1x toilet bowl
- 1x washbasin
- 1x shower
- 1x bidet or urinal
The standard does not allow for the connection of a bathtub, washing machine or dishwasher to this type of device. The reason is either too much water being drained (bathtub), or lack of control over the water drainage during long operating times of the washing machine or dishwasher. If it is necessary to drain sewage from a bathtub, washing machine or dishwasher, they should be connected to a separate pumping station for sewage without faeces (grey water) according to the PN-EN 12050-2 standard. Two models are used for such purposes: Wilo-DrainLift MINI3-XS and Wilo-DrainLift MINI3-XXS .
Universal and versatile mounting options thanks to multiple connections
The compact design allows for installation in limited space, including flush-mounted installation or in a wall recess. Convenient installation and servicing is achieved thanks to the modular design with easy access to internal components.
Wilo-DrainLift MINI3 pumping stations are equipped with many connections. From the point of view of the contractor and seller, a clear offer is important here, as exemplified by the Wilo-DrainLift MINI3-XS/WC version. It replaces the 3 previously known models selected depending on the construction conditions and the connection of the toilet bowl drain. This means fewer devices "on the shelf" and no need to select a model only after visiting the customer.
External design of the Wilo-DrainLift MINI3-XS/WC : 1- pressure nozzle DN32/40, 2- left and right-hand inlet connection with non-return flap DN40/50, 3- WC connection from the front or side, 4- inlet connection DN40, 5- durable, aesthetic housing, 6- ventilation with activated carbon insert, 7- tight cover that can be removed without having to disconnect the device.

A new standard among compact sewage pumping stations
Wilo-DrainLift MINI3 introduces a number of new functionalities in this market segment of devices. This includes the use of a submersible pump with an increased IP68 protection class, which ensures up to 48h of tightness at a pressure of 3 meters of sewage column, e.g. in the event of a blocked pressure drain. The pump's operating cycles with an increased water temperature of 40 oC (75 oC, 5 min.) are also extended.
A float switch with adjustable pump activation level has been used. This allows you to set the low suction mode for low shower trays, as well as to use the quiet mode . The quiet mode can be used when installing the Wilo-DrainLift MINI3-XS, -XXS compact pumping stations, e.g. in the kitchen (for grey water) to switch off the pump blow-off and pressure pipe.
The blow-off itself is used in the Wilo-DrainLift MINI3-XS/WC version, which removes sewage with faeces. In this way, the remaining sediments are removed from the pump and pressure pipe. The device is very hard-working in operation and the quiet mode can be used if necessary for the drainage of gray water with increased requirements (e.g. installation in a kitchen cabinet, etc.).
High crushing efficiency thanks to the new cutting blade (macerator)
A new design of the cutting blade (macerator) has been used in the Wilo-DrainLift MINI3-XS/WC version, minimizing the risk of clogging the pressure drain compared to the standard rotating blade with free drainage. The path of sewage passing through many blades is extended many times over, and solid fractions are intensively crushed.
Where can sewage pumping stations for limited scope of application according to PN-EN 12050-3 be used?
Compact sewage lifting stations without faeces such as Wilo-DrainLift MINI3-XS and Wilo-DrainLift MINI3-XXS can be used very flexibly in accordance with the PN-EN 12050-2 standard, taking advantage of the wide possibilities of Wilo devices.
Compact sewage pumping stations designed to discharge sewage with faeces are subject to more stringent requirements according to the PN-EN 12050-3 standard. In their case, we speak of a so-called limited scope of application, which is mainly related to the need to ensure a higher level of control over the correct operation of the device.
In accordance with standard requirements, the following should be kept in mind:
- application for a small number of users (family),
- there must be another toilet available above the backflow level in the sewage system,
- the pumping station and serviced equipment are in one room,
- the WC toilet bowl is connected to the pumping station at a distance of up to 0.5 m,
- pressure flushing of the toilet bowl is not permitted,
- recommended amount of water for flushing: 6 to 9 liters
- maximum wastewater temperature up to 35 ° C
