Patchcord F/UTP cat.6 PVC 5.0m red ALANTEC KKS6CZE5.0
Universal connection cable cat. 6 for professionals and users
This red cat. 6 patchcord from ALANTEC, 5 meters long, is a reliable solution for building and expanding computer networks. It will work both in professional installations and in home networks, providing a stable and fast connection. The cable is made of high-quality materials, which guarantees its durability and resistance to damage.
Construction and application
The F/UTP (Foiled/Unshielded Twisted Pair) patchcord has a foil shield surrounding all pairs of wires, which effectively reduces electromagnetic interference. This ensures more stable data transmission, especially in environments with high levels of interference. The category 6 cable enables data transmission at speeds up to 1000 Mbps (Gigabit Ethernet) and even up to 10 Gbps over shorter distances. Made of multi-strand polyethylene insulated conductors, it provides flexibility and ease of installation. The outer PVC coating protects the cable from mechanical damage and external factors.
Advantages and benefits
- Effective protection against interference: The foil shield minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable data transmission.
- High transmission quality: Category 6 guarantees speeds up to 1000 Mbps (Gigabit Ethernet), and even 10 Gbps over short distances.
- Durable construction: Made of high-quality materials, resistant to mechanical damage and external factors.
- Easy installation: Flexible strands make it easy to lay the cable and connect to devices.
- Backward compatibility: Possibility of use with network elements of lower category (e.g. cat. 5e patch panels).
- Color identification: The red color makes it easier to identify the cable in the installation, which is particularly useful during servicing or network expansion.
- PoE support: Support for the 802.3af standard enables powering devices over Ethernet cable (Power over Ethernet).
- Environmental resistance: Operating temperature range from -20°C to +60°C allows the cable to be used in various conditions.
Technical specifications – key parameters
The cable is characterized by a cross-section of 4x2x24/7 AWG and an impedance of ≤ 95 Ω/km, which ensures optimal signal quality. It has class E (250 MHz) and meets the requirements of the ISO/IEC 11801 standard. The grounding wire made of tinned copper wire provides additional safety and reduces interference. The CPR fire classification is Eca, which means limited flammability of the outer jacket material. The minimum bending radius is 4x the outer diameter of the cable, which makes it easier to run the installation in tight spaces.
