Construction and safety

The cable is designed for durability and resistance to interference. Made of 100% copper stranded conductors, each pair is shielded with aluminum foil, and the entire core is additionally braided with a copper mesh. A grounding wire is located under the shield, providing excellent protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and eliminating crosstalk between pairs. This double protection (S/FTP) is particularly important in environments with a high level of interference, such as near electrical cables or industrial equipment. In addition, the outer jacket made of LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) material ensures fire safety – it limits smoke emission and does not contain harmful halogens.

Application and compliance with standards

The ALANTEC Cat. 6A patch cord is compatible with existing installations of lower categories and with various types of LAN, WAN and SAN networks. It can be used for connections between routers, switches, IP cameras and computers, as well as for transmitting audio and video signals. Compliance with ISO/IEC 11801 standards, confirmed by tests in the INTERTEK laboratory in the USA, guarantees high quality and reliability of the product. The maximum length of the cable section (transmission path) should be 90m, with cross-connect cables up to 5m long at each end being used for termination.
