Construction and parameters

The patch cord uses an unshielded U/UTP construction, which means there is no additional shielding around the wire pairs. This solution is sufficient in most standard installations and also helps to reduce costs. The wires are made of stranded material, which provides flexibility and makes the cable easier to route. The cores are surrounded by polyethylene insulation, and the whole is protected by an LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) coating, which meets fire safety standards.
