This 48-port STP Cat. 5e patch panel from ALANTEC is a basic, shielded element of the network path, ideal for locations exposed to electromagnetic interference. It provides reliable signal distribution in telecommunication networks and is a key connection point between the installation cable and active devices. The panel is designed for easy cable organization and management in 19" telecommunication cabinets.

Construction and functionality

The panel utilizes a compensation layout implemented directly on the PCB with universal LSA-type slotted IDC connectors, which simplifies the termination of transmission cables. It is equipped with 48 RJ45 ports on the front and IDC connectors on the back. Mounting in a standard 19" cabinet allows for optimal space utilization, and clear port markings facilitate identification and connection management. Made of cold-rolled steel sheet and powder-coated, it guarantees durability and resistance to damage.

Interference protection and standard compliance

The panel's shielding minimizes crosstalk and provides protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI), resulting in stable data transmission. It complies with ISO/IEC 11801 and is suitable for all types of shielded cables: U/FTP, F/UTP, F/FTP and S/FTP. It is important to remember that for proper operation, it is not recommended to use it with unshielded cables - proper grounding is crucial for the effectiveness of the shielding. The panel supports PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) up to 30W on 2 pairs, allowing you to power devices such as IP cameras, WiFi access points or VoIP phones. Designed for data transmission at speeds up to 1 Gbps (Gigabit Ethernet) in LAN and WAN networks.

The product is covered by a 25-year ALANTEC PLUS system warranty – the condition for obtaining the certificate is performing the installation by a trained installer and conducting measurements with a certified LAN meter with current calibration.
