FEH2001 alarm indicator for call systems 2TKA002112G1
Functional Loop Control and Alarm Signaling Module
This device combines the functions of a current loop controller, visual alarm indicator, and acoustic alarm, making it a key component in call and alarm systems. It operates based on a constant control current (5 mA), allowing the connection of both normally open and normally closed contacts without the risk of false alarms. Any deviation from the standby state – whether a short circuit or a circuit break – is immediately detected and triggers an alarm. In practice, this means the installer can freely design circuits, while the end user receives a reliable signal in the event of a fault or a call for help.
The device is equipped with a built-in buzzer emitting a sound at a frequency of 2.3 kHz (approx. 78 dB at a distance of 30 cm) and a flashing red LED, providing two-way system status information. The alarm can be silenced using an external button, and the optional memory function allows the alarm state to be maintained even after the cause is removed, until a manual reset. It is worth noting that the kit includes a terminating resistor (1 kΩ), which simplifies installation and eliminates the need to purchase additional components.
Application and Mounting Flexibility
The module is designed for various installations requiring loop monitoring. Thanks to operation with alternating voltages (15–28 V AC) and direct voltages (18–35 V DC), it is suitable for many power supply configurations. In the event of an alarm, the device activates two outputs: one normally open contact supplies the input voltage to terminal 4, and the second switchable contact (NC/C/NO) can be used to control other external devices or transmit a signal to the control panel.
Mounting the device requires a standard wall box, as its external dimensions are 71 mm in width and height with a depth of 45 mm. Rigid screw terminals are used for connecting wires, accepting conductors with a maximum cross-section of 1 mm². The enclosure is white (RAL 9010), ensuring it aesthetically complements the Reflex SI series and most other electrical accessory systems. Due to the IP20 protection rating, the product is intended exclusively for installation in dry rooms where there is no risk of direct contact with water or access to solid objects larger than 12 mm.
Key electrical parameters include a rated voltage range from 15 V AC to 28 V AC and from 18 V DC to 35 V DC. The current consumed by the device is approximately 110 mA with AC power or 60 mA with DC power. The acoustic signal is characterized by a frequency of 2.3 kHz and a noise level of approximately 78 dB measured at a distance of 30 cm from the sound source. The entire unit is housed in an enclosure with an IP20 protection rating, and its external dimensions are 71 mm in width and height with a mounting depth of 45 mm.
Configuration and Operational Reliability
Thanks to the use of direct current loop control, the loop is immune to electromagnetic interference typical of industrial or medical installations. The ability to program the alarm memory function via jumper M gives the installer flexibility in adapting the system's behavior to the specific characteristics of the facility – whether the alarm should extinguish automatically after a fault is repaired or require personnel intervention.
The device does not have a built-in transformer, requiring connection to an external power source within the AC/DC voltage range. The construction made of thermoplastic material ensures durability while maintaining an aesthetic appearance. This is a solution dedicated to call systems in hospitals, care homes, and public facilities, where a rapid response to a call or fault is critical for user safety.
