Electrical installation protection with ABB S302P-C32 circuit breaker
Product features
This two-pole circuit breaker from ABB's S300P series provides reliable protection for your electrical installation. Designed to protect against overloads and short circuits, it ensures safe operation and long-term device performance. The C characteristic makes it ideal for circuits with devices generating inrush currents, such as motors or transformers – it allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, while effectively protecting against overloads.
Technical specifications
The S302P-C32 circuit breaker is compatible with DIN rails, making it easy to mount in electrical panels. Its compact size (2 modules wide) allows for efficient use of space in the distribution cabinet. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 20kA (according to EN 60898) and 25kA (according to IEC 60947-2) guarantees effective protection even in the event of serious network disturbances.
Solid construction and compliance with standards
The circuit breaker is made of high-quality materials, ensuring its durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It meets the requirements of IEC 60947-2 and EN 60898 standards, confirming its safety and reliability. Designed to operate at temperatures from 0 to 70°C, it can be used in various environmental conditions. The rated insulation voltage Ui is 500V AC, providing adequate protection against overvoltage.
Versatile application and easy installation
The S302P-C32 circuit breaker is used in both commercial, industrial and residential installations. The ability to connect wires with a cross-section from 0.75 mm² to 25 mm² (multi-stranded) or from 0.75 mm² to 35 mm² (solid) provides flexibility during installation. It is a direct replacement for the discontinued S202P-C32 model, making it easier to modernize existing installations. Power losses of only 5.8 W minimize the impact on the energy efficiency of the system.
