SIGNAL FLM1000 transformer - White call system 2TKA002168G1
Power Supply for Small Call Systems in a Compact Enclosure
This device is a dedicated 15 V AC power supply unit specifically designed to operate small call systems (e.g., in bathrooms, bedrooms, or hotel rooms). Its primary function is to safely and stably deliver power to call modules; however, the rated power of 2.2 VA (current 150 mA) requires careful design consideration—exceeding this limit may lead to overload and improper system operation. This solution allows installers to avoid using large transformers in locations where only local servicing of one or two call points is required.
Flush-Mount Installation and Integration with Accessories
A key feature of this model is its compact construction, enabling direct installation into a standard 60 mm diameter installation box. The enclosure dimensions are 71 x 71 x 39 mm, making the device perfectly suited for the space available behind sockets or switches. The white color (RAL 9010) ensures aesthetic compatibility with most flush-mounted accessory series, including popular ABB Basic55 systems (an appropriate mounting adapter may be required).
For the installer, it is also important to note that the device has an IP20 protection rating, meaning it is suitable exclusively for installation in dry rooms and should not be operated in areas exposed to direct water or moisture. The primary side connection (230 V) is made via screw terminals designed for conductors with a cross-section up to 2.5 mm², while the secondary side uses telephone cables with a 0.5 mm² cross-section.
Application and Operational Safety
The device operates with an AC 230 V mains voltage at 50 Hz, generating a safe 15 V AC output voltage. It is a plug-and-play solution for small signaling installations in facilities such as hospitals and medical clinics, social care homes, hotels, guesthouses, and office buildings adapted for persons with disabilities.
It is worth noting that despite its compact size, this transformer includes built-in short-circuit protection, enhancing the safety of the entire installation. However, it should not be treated as a universal power supply for large systems—for areas requiring higher power, dedicated transformers with higher capacity (e.g., 24 V) should be used. Thanks to precise dimensions and standard screw mounting, installation takes minimal time and requires no specialized tools beyond a standard screwdriver set.
