Grate with transverse bars 100 cm stainless steel load class A15 ACO DRAIN Multiline 12640
Grate with transverse bars 100 cm made of stainless steel
Grate made of stainless steel, with a length of 1000 mm and a width of 123 mm, designed for the ACO DRAIN Multiline system. Designed for use in areas with high mechanical loads, where corrosion resistance and long-term durability are required – e.g., in parking lots, industrial facilities, transport zones, or building entrances.
Load class A15 (EN 1433) means that the grate can withstand a load of up to 15 kN (approximately 1500 kg per wheel), corresponding to loads from light vehicles such as passenger cars or low-mass trucks. It is not intended for heavy-duty vehicles or specialized vehicles – but it is ideal where resistance to water, salt, and atmospheric factors is needed without the need for replacement.
The ACO DRAIN Multiline system is based on a V-profile in the channel cross-section – this allows for effective water drainage even with small gradients and minimal flow rates. Water flows naturally along the bottom, and sediments are "pushed out" by the flow – reducing the need for frequent cleaning. The grate is mounted without screws using the Drainlock® system, enabling quick inspection and maintenance of the channel without dismantling the entire structure.
The channel edges are reinforced with stainless steel strips, anchored directly into the polymer concrete during production – there is no risk of detachment or corrosion underneath. The polymer concrete from which the channel is made is non-absorbent and frost-resistant – confirmed by laboratory tests – eliminating the risk of cracking during cyclic freezing.
Compared to grates made of cast iron or galvanized steel, this version requires no maintenance, does not rust, and does not necessitate replacement after a few years of use. For the installer, this means less work at the service stage; for the investor, lower maintenance costs over the entire life of the facility.
There is no need for additional fastening or sealing – if conditions require it (e.g., protection against soil infiltration or contaminants), the system can be supplemented with special sealing compounds.
- Clear width 100mm
- Made of non-absorbent and frost-resistant polymer concrete (confirmed by laboratory tests)
- Maximum load class E600
- Edge reinforcement with galvanized steel or cast iron or stainless steel strips - optional, anchored in the trough at the production stage
- The screwless fixing of the Drainlock® grates enables inspection and cleaning of the channel at any time after its installation.
- Under special conditions (e.g. risk of vandalism or theft), the grates or the fixing can be equipped with special accessories.
- The V profile of the channel allows for the self-cleaning effect to be achieved in small catchments (narrow catchments and short sections of linear drainage).
- Possibility to use channels with a profiled bottom slope of 0.5% (e.g. when it is required that hazardous substances flow to the receiver).
- The system can be sealed with special masses to maintain full tightness, if required.
