Industrial managed switch with Ethernet and SFP ports
This advanced switch, model EKI-7706E-2FI-AE, combines functionality and reliability, offering flexible network building options in demanding industrial environments. Equipped with four Fast Ethernet ports (10/100Base-T/TX) and two SFP ports, it enables both copper and fiber optic connections – ideal for extended installations. SFP ports allow the use of fiber optic connections over distances of up to several dozen kilometers, increasing network design flexibility.
Functionality and application
The EKI-7706E-2FI-AE switch is a managed device, which means access to a wide range of configuration functions. Support for protocols such as X-Ring Pro, Spanning Tree (IEEE 802.1D-STP, IEEE 802.1s-MSTP, IEEE 802.1w-RSTP) and VLAN (including Q-in-Q and GVRP) allows for building network redundancy and traffic segmentation. Features such as Port Mirroring, IP Multicast (IGMP Snooping v1/v2/v3, MLD Snooping) and Storm Control ensure optimal network performance and security. 802.1x and RADIUS authentication further secures access to the device.
Thanks to support for SNMP v1/v2c/v3, WEB, Telnet and SSH2.0 and SSL, switch management is easy and secure. The IXM function enables quick group configuration of multiple devices simultaneously – significantly reducing installation and configuration time in extensive industrial networks.
Construction and operating conditions
The device is designed to operate in harsh industrial conditions. The aluminum housing provides durability and resistance to mechanical damage (IP30 compliance). The possibility of mounting on a DIN rail or wall simplifies installation in control cabinets or other limited spaces. A key feature is the wide operating temperature range – from -40°C to 75°C (in the EKI-7706E-2FI version), which allows it to be used in extreme environmental conditions. Redundant power supply in the range of 12-48VDC ensures reliable operation even in the event of a failure of one of the power sources.
