Lightning protection system inspection connector – reliability and safety

This inspection connector, made of galvanized steel, is designed to connect the lightning conductor wire to the roofing sheet. It enables the creation of inspection connections, which is crucial for the proper functioning and effective protection of the lightning protection system. It provides easy access to the inspection point, facilitating the verification of grounding resistance without the need to disconnect the wires.

Design and application

The connector is designed for durability and reliability. Made of high-quality electrolytically galvanized steel, it provides corrosion resistance and long-term performance in atmospheric conditions. It is designed for wires with a diameter of 8 mm to 40 mm (type B), making it a universal solution for various installations. The connector is mounted using M8 and M10 screws (4xM8x20, 1xM10x16, 2xM8x20), also galvanized, which guarantees compatibility and eliminates the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Durability and compliance with standards

The AH Hardt connector is distinguished by its exceptional resistance to mechanical damage and corrosion. A special galvanizing process and polymer sealing, confirmed by BBJ-SEP tests, provide the highest class of corrosion protection. The product has been tested in accordance with PN-EN 62561-1 and has class H, which means it can withstand a lightning current with a current intensity of 100kA. AH Hardt is the only manufacturer in Poland with its own electrolytic galvanizing plant, allowing for full control of the galvanizing process quality.
