Functionality and capabilities

The VZ8922 meter offers six measurement ranges, covering sound levels from 30 to 130 dB. It is equipped with a clear LCD display with three‑and‑a‑half digits and a practical bar graph, facilitating result reading. The backlight function increases comfort in low‑light conditions.

The device has A and C weighting filters, allowing adaptation of the measurement to the specific sound being analyzed. Filter A simulates human ear sensitivity, while filter C provides a flat response, useful for measuring machine‑generated noise. Additionally, the meter can measure background noise and has an AC/DC input for connecting external devices.

The built‑in RS‑232 port enables easy data transfer to a PC for further analysis and documentation. The meter also features a calibration port, ensuring long‑term measurement accuracy. It is supplied with a case/soft bag for transport and storage.
