Equipping the disconnectable modules with gas lightning arrester magazines with thermal protection allows to protect the systems against the effects of external disturbances (surges) that are dangerous for active equipment. At the moment of disturbance occurrence, at most the lightning conductor is destroyed, protecting other line elements against damage. Special contacts, located on both sides of the magazine, ensure automatic connection of the central strip with the telecommunications rail.
