Construction and shielding for optimal transmission

ALANTEC cables are characterized by a precise construction. Copper strands in the form of a strand, shielded with foil for each pair and additionally with a braid, minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk between pairs. The double S/FTP (Shielded/Foiled Twisted Pair) shielding makes the cable ideal for use in environments exposed to strong interference – near electrical wires or noise-generating devices. An additional grounding wire under the shield increases transmission safety and stability. The compact construction provides resistance to mechanical damage during installation, and also increases resistance to tensile strength.

Safety and compliance with standards

The LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) coating used ensures safety in the event of a fire – it limits smoke emission and does not contain halogens, minimizing the risk of corrosive toxic gas formation. The product meets ISO/IEC 11801 and PN-EN 50173 standards, confirming its compliance with industry quality and safety standards. Compliance tests were carried out in the INTERTEK laboratory in the USA. Thanks to the CPR Eca fire classification, the cable meets European requirements regarding reaction to fire.
