Construction and application

The patch cord is made to U/UTP category 5e standard, guaranteeing a bandwidth of up to 1000 Mbps (Gigabit Ethernet). Category 5e cables, although optimized for a speed of 1 Gbps, can operate at speeds up to 250 MHz, providing some performance headroom. It uses stranded conductors insulated with polyethylene, and the whole is surrounded by a durable PVC coating. This makes the cable flexible and easy to install. The use of a U/UTP (unshielded) cable requires caution in environments with high levels of electromagnetic interference – it is recommended to avoid running it near power cables or other sources of interference. A length of 3 meters provides convenience in connecting devices without the need for extension cords.
