The Al-Cu piercing clamp Z2082Z is a two-sided element used to connect aluminum and copper wires. It is designed for use in overhead installations, both for insulated and uninsulated wires. Its construction ensures quick and safe installation, and the breakaway nut facilitates the tightening process, eliminating the need for a torque wrench.

Construction and materials

The clamp is characterized by a hermetic housing made of plastic resistant to atmospheric factors such as UV radiation, moisture and water. The clamp jaws are made of tinned copper alloy and factory-filled with contact paste, which improves electrical conductivity and protects against corrosion. The clamping screws are protected by hot-dip galvanizing, and the nuts are made of aluminum. An additional O-ring prevents accidental tightening of both nuts simultaneously.

Application and compatibility

The Z2082Z clamp is used for branching from Al-Cu overhead wires with cross-sections from 1.5 mm² to 50 mm² for branches and from 16 mm² to 95 mm² for main wires. It is compatible with both insulated (AsXS(n)) and uninsulated wires. This makes it a universal solution for a wide range of electrical installations.
