Water meter for hot water, designed for demanding installations

The JS-130 MASTER+ water meter is specifically engineered for use in hot and domestic hot water (DHW) systems, where temperatures can reach up to 130°C – making it suitable for boiler rooms and closed-loop heating systems. Its body is constructed from brass, ensuring high resistance to corrosion and long-term stability under aggressive conditions. Additionally, it features an anti-magnetic shield that protects against tampering via external magnetic fields – a critical feature for public or commercial facilities.

The GZ 1 1/4" (BSPP) connection allows for easy installation into existing piping systems, while its 260 mm length is optimized for space-constrained mounting environments. The meter operates via a paddle wheel mechanism – a simple, proven design requiring no external power. With a maximum flow rate of 6.3 m³/h and a ratio R=100, it accurately measures even low flows as low as 0.079 m³/h, making it ideal for detecting minor leaks.

Installation is possible in both horizontal (dial facing upward) and vertical (dial facing sideways) orientations, offering flexibility in confined spaces. The five-drum dial has an IP65 protection rating, making it resistant to dust and water jets – sufficient for most technical rooms. The IP68 version (glass housing) is available only for cold water applications – this model does not include it.

The inlet channel design stabilizes flow, reducing turbulence and improving measurement accuracy – especially important under pressure fluctuations or when connected to multiple draw-off points. The meter is AMR-ready (Automatic Meter Reading), though it does not include a built-in pulse transmitter (JS-NK). An external pulse transmitter can be added post-installation if data transmission is required.

Operating pressure up to 16 bar (PN16) enables safe use even in high-pressure systems. It requires no maintenance or lubrication – its dry-running design eliminates the risk of clogging from sediment. It operates reliably under varying temperature and pressure conditions – ideal for hybrid installations combining heating and domestic hot water systems.
