Purpose and Operation

The JS-02 SMART+ water meter is a dry-run measuring device with a brass housing, designed for measuring hot water up to 90°C in closed systems with full flow. It operates at a maximum pressure of 16 bar (PN16) and is engineered for both horizontal installation (meter face positioned on top or side) and vertical installation (meter face on the side).

The impeller ensures stable measurements even at low flow rates, and the R100 ratio means it can accurately measure flows from 0.016 m³/h to 1.6 m³/h — making it suitable for both small residential units and circulation systems.

Durability and Compatibility

The brass housing with anti-magnetic protection prevents tampering via external magnetic fields — a critical feature for public or multi-family installations. The meter requires no additional adjustments or calibration during installation and functions correctly regardless of orientation.

Ready for communication: wireless (Wireless M-Bus), pulse, or M-Bus modules can be added without replacing the meter itself — enabling easy future upgrades of metering systems. For the Ti/Ir version, an inductive readout option is available — eliminating the need to open the housing.

Installation and Operating Conditions

The working length of 110 mm and internal thread G¾ (BSPT-Rp) conform to the DN15 standard, ensuring easy installation in existing systems. The IP65 protection rating guarantees resistance to dust and water jets — ideal for humid environments such as boiler rooms or technical spaces.

Note: Although the connection is G¾, the nominal bore size of the housing is DN15 — do not confuse thread size with pipe diameter. All specifications comply with EN 14154 and ISO 4064-2, ensuring legal certification and approval for billing applications.
