Durability in conditions where ordinary insulation fails

Armaflex HT elastomeric insulation with a thickness of 19 mm and an internal diameter of 48 mm belongs to the HT/Armaflex product line - a group of insulating materials designed for applications exposed to high operating temperatures. The HT series is distinguished by its ability to maintain full flexibility up to +150°C (peaking at +175°C with appropriate protection). This is a key feature in industrial installations and where pipes are routed close to heat sources.

The material also retains its properties at low temperatures - the operating range reaches down to -50°C, allowing it to be used in both heating and cooling installations.

Thermal and fire properties

A thermal conductivity coefficient at the level of 0,042 W/(m·K) provides an effective barrier against heat loss. The closed cell structure of the elastomeric foam guarantees the stability of insulation parameters throughout its service life.

In terms of reaction to fire, the insulation achieves a D-s3, d0 classification according to the EN 13501-1 standard. This means it is a self-extinguishing material (does not spread fire) without flaming droplets (d0) - an important feature in industrial installations and public buildings.

UV resistance and operating conditions

One of the most important features of the HT series is its exceptional resistance to ultraviolet radiation. Standard rubber insulations lose flexibility, crack, and require additional shielding after sun exposure - Armaflex HT eliminates this problem. Thanks to this, the insulation is suitable for installation on systems routed outside buildings without the need for immediate application of a protective jacket.

The product is dust-free and fiber-free, which simplifies the cutting and fitting process on the construction site. The absence of solid particle release also means cleaner working conditions and no skin irritation during installation.

Applications

Armaflex HT insulation with dimensions of 19 × 48 mm is used for insulating:

• steel and copper pipes in industrial installations,
• pipelines in processing plants,
• ventilation installations exposed to overheating,
• air conditioning and refrigeration systems requiring protection against condensation.

The product is also available in a self-adhesive version (order code ending with A) - which facilitates and accelerates installation on straight sections.

The entire Armaflex range is manufactured in accordance with the construction product standard PN-EN 14304, subject to quality control by a notified body and internal factory procedures.
