The pipe consists of two PE-Xa (cross-linked polyethylene) conduit pipes, surrounded by a layer of polyurethane (PUR) insulation. An additional layer of XPE polyethylene insulation with an aluminum foil and a corrugated HDPE outer jacket provides excellent mechanical and thermal protection. The use of an EVOH anti-diffusion barrier eliminates the risk of oxygen flowing into the installation, protecting it from corrosion. SDR 11 refers to the ratio of the outer diameter to the pipe wall thickness, which affects its pressure resistance. PE-Xa pipes are characterized by a smooth inner surface, which minimizes flow resistance and reduces the operating costs of the circulation pump.
