Pre-insulated pipe – a comprehensive solution for central heating and domestic hot water installations.
The AustroPEX Combi A200 quadruple pre-insulated pipe is an advanced solution for building efficient and durable central heating and domestic hot and cold water installations. The pipe construction combines four separate pipes – two for heating (supply and return), one for domestic hot water and one for circulation, which optimizes costs and simplifies installation. This is particularly useful in systems where simultaneous distribution of different media is required.
Construction and properties
The pipe consists of several key elements that ensure its high functionality and reliability:
- PE-Xa conductive pipes: Made of cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xa), they are characterized by high temperature resistance (up to +95°C) and pressure resistance (CH: 6.6 bar, DHW: 10 bar). The central heating pipes have a red EVOH anti-diffusion barrier, which prevents oxygen from penetrating the installation, protecting it from corrosion. The domestic hot water pipes do not have an anti-diffusion barrier.
- PE foam insulation: The insulation layer made of cross-linked XPE foam with a closed-cell microcellular structure minimizes heat loss and ensures energy efficiency of the system. Water absorption by the insulation is very low – below 1%, which guarantees long-term insulation effectiveness. The central insulation effectively separates the supply and return pipes and the domestic hot water pipe from the circulation pipe, preventing mixing of media and maintaining optimal temperature.
- Outer HDPE jacket: The corrugated outer jacket made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) provides mechanical protection of the pipe and facilitates its laying and installation. Additionally, the corrugated surface increases the flexibility of the pipe, making it easier to adapt to complex installation routes.
Advantages of use
Choosing the AustroPEX Combi A200 pre-insulated pipe translates into a number of benefits for both installers and end users:
- High energy efficiency: Minimal heat loss thanks to high-quality insulation lowers the operating costs of the heating system.
- Durability and reliability: High-quality materials and precise workmanship guarantee a long service life of the installation, estimated at over 50 years.
- Corrosion resistance: PE-Xa pipes are resistant to corrosion, eliminating the risk of failure due to rust and sediment.
- Flexibility and ease of installation: The pipe is flexible and easy to process, which reduces installation time and labor costs. The possibility of ordering pipes with a length tailored to the investor's needs further streamlines the installation process.
- Versatility: One pipe combines all the necessary pipes for CH and DHW installations, simplifying system design and installation.
- Environmentally friendly: The production process of AustroPEX pipes is environmentally friendly, and the pipes themselves do not contain harmful substances and are non-toxic.
- Low pressure loss: Smooth inner surface of PE-Xa pipes minimizes flow resistance, resulting in lower circulating pump operating costs.
AustroPEX Combi A200 pipe is an investment in the comfort, savings and safety of your home or building!
