Tubolit Duosplit 1/4 - 3/8 inch double copper pipe is a component dedicated to air conditioning and refrigeration installations. The product combines two copper pipes of different diameters (1/4" and 3/8") in a single structure, wrapped in high-quality thermal insulation. Supplied in a coil with a length of 25 meters, it is ready for immediate use on the construction site or in the workshop.

Construction and properties

Tubolit Duosplit pipes are characterized by a seamless construction of soft copper with a wall thickness of 0.8 mm. This construction provides high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. Pre-insulation with polyethylene foam (Tubolit®) with a thickness of 9 mm minimizes heat loss and prevents condensation, which translates into energy efficiency of the system. Additionally, the outer protective layer of white UV foil protects the insulation against mechanical damage and the influence of sunlight.

The pipes have a fire reaction class of Bs1d0, which means limited flammability and low smoke emission in the event of a fire – important for the safety of installations in buildings. The thermal conductivity coefficient of the insulation is only 0.036 W/(m·K), which confirms its excellent thermal insulation properties.
