SteinWolle ALU insulation wrap – effective thermal and acoustic protection
SteinWolle ALU is an insulation wrap made of high-quality rock wool, coated with a layer of aluminum foil reinforced with a mesh. The product is designed for thermal and acoustic insulation of central heating pipelines, hot and cold water pipes, and ventilation ducts. Thanks to its construction and properties, the SteinWolle ALU wrap is used in both residential buildings and public and industrial facilities. Available in 1-meter sections, making it easy to adapt to specific installation needs.
Properties and application
The wrap is characterized by a self-adhesive overlap and a cut on one side, which significantly facilitates and speeds up installation. Rock wool, as an insulating material, provides not only excellent protection against heat loss, but also dampens sounds, improving the comfort of use. The aluminum foil acts as a barrier to thermal radiation and protects the rock wool from moisture. The product is resistant to temperatures up to +250°C.
Using the SteinWolle ALU wrap allows for reducing energy losses, preventing condensation of water vapor on the surface of pipes, and reducing noise from the installation. Fire class A2L - s1, d0 provides a high level of fire safety – the material is difficult to ignite and does not contribute to the spread of fire. Thermal conductivity at a level of ≤ 0.037 W/(m·K) (for a thickness of 20-40 mm) guarantees effective thermal insulation.
Key advantages in bullet points:
- High insulation efficiency: Rock wool provides excellent thermal and acoustic properties.
- Fire safety: Fire class A2L - s1, d0 minimizes the risk of fire spreading.
- Easy installation: Self-adhesive overlap and cut facilitate quick and precise fitting to pipes.
- Temperature resistance: Can be used with media at temperatures up to +250°C.
- Moisture protection: Aluminum foil protects rock wool from dampening.
- Versatile application: Ideal for insulating CH pipes, hot and cold water pipes, and ventilation ducts in various types of buildings.
- Low thermal conductivity: Ensures minimal energy losses (≤ 0.037 W/(m·K) for a thickness of 20-40 mm).
