Socket front plate – safety and aesthetics in one

This front plate with shuttered contacts, designed for sockets with earthing, is part of the B.Kwadrat series by Berker (a Hager company). Made of high-quality duroplastic material, in white with a glossy finish (RAL 9010), it is the perfect complement to electrical installations in any room. The shuttered contacts increase safety by preventing access to the conductive elements of the socket – particularly important in homes with children.

Functionality and installation

The plate is designed for screw mounting, ensuring stability and durability of the connection. Its dimensions (55 mm wide, 55 mm high and 35 mm deep) are standard for Berker B.Kwadrat electrical accessories, guaranteeing compatibility with other elements of the series. Please note that the plate requires a separate socket mechanism and a frame from the B.Kwadrat series – it is only a finishing element.

The plate has a protection degree of IP20, which means protection against touching conductive parts inside the housing. Additionally, it is characterized by impact resistance of IK02. The material used is halogen-free, which translates to lower toxicity in the event of a fire. The product meets the required safety standards and is made of materials resistant to mechanical damage, ensuring long-term use. The lack of space for a label or symbol and the lack of a light control window do not affect the functionality of the product – the focus was on minimalist design and safety of use.
