Low-halogen installation cable for demanding applications

The BiTinstal H(P) 750V 5x2.5 cable is a low-halogen installation cable designed for power and lighting installations in interiors. Its construction and materials ensure safety and high fire resistance, making it an ideal choice for facilities with increased fire protection requirements – schools, hospitals, hotels or public utility buildings. The cable is particularly recommended where minimizing the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire is important.

Construction and application

The cable consists of single-wire copper conductors class 1 (according to EN 60228), insulated with a special halogen-free polymer. The conductors are arranged in parallel, and the whole is surrounded by a jacket made of the same material – which ensures flexibility and ease of installation. The possibility of laying in dry and humid rooms, under plaster, on plaster, in plaster, as well as in brick walls and directly in concrete (during permanent installation) provides great freedom during project implementation. In the case of outdoor applications, it is necessary to protect the cable from the effects of weather conditions and UV radiation – by placing it in cable ducts or protective pipes.

The BiTinstal H(P) cable is characterized by a working voltage of up to 750V and resistance to temperature from -30°C to +80°C (during operation) and a minimum laying temperature of -5°C. The voltage test is 2500V. The minimum bending radius is 5x the cable diameter, which facilitates running the installation even in tight spaces.

Safety and compliance with standards

The use of halogen-free materials significantly reduces the emission of toxic gases during a fire, increasing user safety. The cable meets the requirements of PN-EN 60332-1-2, PN-EN 60332-3-24 and IEC 60332-3 cat. C standards regarding fire resistance and flame propagation. Additionally, the cable is compliant with PN-EN 50575 (CPR) – the European system for classifying reaction to fire for building cables. The RoHS mark confirms the absence of harmful substances.
