Control cable halogen-free BiT 500®(St) CH – safety and reliability in installations

This flexible, double-screened BiT 500®(St) CH control cable is designed for demanding industrial applications and installations where fire safety is critical. The cable is characterized by high flexibility, which facilitates installation and routing in tight spaces. Thanks to the use of a special halogen-free compound, it minimizes the emission of toxic substances in the event of a fire, which is particularly important in public buildings and industrial facilities.

Construction and properties

This cable is a combination of advanced materials and thoughtful design. Multi-strand copper conductors class 5 provide good conductivity and flexibility. A screen made of metallized tape and tinned copper braid effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference (up to approx. 50dB), protecting sensitive control devices. The outer jacket made of a halogen-free compound provides fire resistance and limits the spread of flames, meeting the PN-EN 60332-1-2 and EN 60754 standards. Fire reaction class B2ca confirms its high fire resistance according to PN-EN 50575 (CPR).

The operating temperature range for moving connections is from -5°C to 70°C, and for fixed connections from -40°C to 80°C. The fire reaction class (CPR) is B2ca. The minimum bending radius for moving connections is 10 x Ø, and for fixed connections 5 x Ø.
