This red, single-core BiT 1000 Solar PV cable with a cross-section of 6 mm² is specifically designed for use in photovoltaic installations. Construction and properties

The cable consists of a multi-strand copper core surrounded by a special, cross-linked halogen-free polyethylene mixture which acts as insulation. The outer jacket is made of the same material, providing resistance to UV radiation, weather conditions and oils. This allows the cable to be used both indoors and outdoors. This is particularly important in installations exposed to direct sunlight and changing weather conditions. Additionally, the halogen-free materials minimize the risk of toxic gases forming in the event of a fire, increasing safety.

Application and parameters

The BiT 1000 Solar PV cable is ideal for connecting photovoltaic modules to each other and to the inverter. Its durability and resistance to external factors make it an optimal solution for both small roof installations and large solar power plants. The cable meets EN 50618 and IEC 62930 standards, confirming its high quality and safety. The expected cable life is at least 25 years. The AC operating voltage is 1.0/1.0kV and DC 1.5kV (maximum DC voltage is 1.8kV). The test voltage is 6500V. The core resistance at 20°C is 3.39 Ω/km. The minimum bending radius is 4xØ and the maximum tensile force during installation is 50N/mm².
