RFM-RPT-3 microconcentrator, for heat cost allocators

RFM-RPT-3 is a micro-concentrator designed to amplify and extend the range of radio signals from heat cost allocators, water meters, and heat dividers operating in the WMBUS standard. It is a key solution in installations where the distance between measuring devices and the data reading point is significant or obstacles limit the range.

The device allows configuration of a time window for activity, in which WMBUS telegrams are repeated according to the EN 13757 standard. It operates as a simple signal amplifier, eliminating the reception of repeated transmissions from other concentrators (single-hop logic). Additionally, the RFM-RPT-3 enables configuration of a chain of amplifiers up to three levels, allowing coverage of large areas and ensuring reliable data reading.

Device configuration is performed wirelessly using dedicated software and the RFM-RX2 transceiver. This allows setting operating parameters such as activity hours, days of the week, months, and an optional telegram filter. Thanks to this, the installer can precisely adapt the concentrator's operation to the specifics of the installation. The built-in debugging mode allows checking the quality of the received signal and optimizing the device's location.

The RFM-RPT-3 is powered by lithium type D batteries (2 pcs) with a voltage of 3.6V, providing up to 5 years of operation without the need for replacement. Alternatively, it is possible to connect an external power supply with a voltage of 4.5÷5.5 VDC and a current of 50mA (the power supply must meet CE standards). The housing with dimensions of 186 x 90 x 60 mm (height x width x depth) and a weight of 275g is resistant to atmospheric conditions (IP63) and designed for wall mounting. The integrated antenna (with the possibility of connecting an external antenna) operates in the 868 MHz band with a power of 10 mW and provides a range of up to 300 meters in ideal signal propagation conditions.
