In daily service work, time is money, and searching for the correct measurement range on a dial can be frustrating. The BM27s pocket multimeter solves this problem with the AutoCheck™ function, which automatically detects the signal at the inputs and selects the appropriate mode: DC voltage (DCV), AC voltage (ACV), or resistance. There is no longer any need to guess whether we are measuring a battery or a 230V mains supply – the device automatically adapts to the circuit. This is particularly useful during quick installation inspections where every second counts.

Thanks to its compact dimensions (113 x 53 x 10.2 mm) and a weight of only 78 grams, the meter does not burden the pocket and does not hinder work on a ladder or in a narrow distribution box. The test leads are permanently connected, eliminating the risk of losing or forgetting them during a client visit. Simply take the device out of its case and immediately begin diagnostics.

User safety is a priority, which is why this model complies with CAT II 600V and CAT III 300V standards. This means it can be safely used in typical domestic and industrial installations with voltages up to 600 V, with confidence that protection against short circuits and overvoltages will operate effectively. The 6000-count LCD display ensures clear readings even in poor lighting, while fast sampling (5 times per second) allows for instantaneous tracking of value changes.

Additional features significantly expand the application of this model:

• Non-contact voltage detection (NCV/EF): Quick verification of voltage presence in wires without touching live conductors – ideal for preliminary checks before removing sockets.
• Contact detection: Additional confirmation of AC voltage presence using the test probe.
• Result hold (HOLD) and MAX: Useful for measurements in hard-to-reach locations; the MAX function retains the highest value if it lasted at least 30 ms, helping to capture brief voltage spikes.
• Continuity and diode test: Standard tools for checking circuits and semiconductor components.

The meter supports a wide range of physical quantities, making it a universal tool for electricians: from AC and DC voltage measurements up to 600 V, through currents up to 2000 µA, to resistance up to 6 MΩ. The device also handles capacitance measurements up to 2000 µF and AC frequency reaching 30 kHz. Such capabilities enable comprehensive diagnostics without the need for additional instruments.

Practical operation and accessories

The device is powered by a single CR2032 (3V) coin cell battery, and the automatic power-off system after 3 minutes of inactivity ensures energy savings. In case of battery depletion, the display signals this with an appropriate icon when the voltage drops below approximately 2.4 V. The package includes not only the multimeter itself but also a complete starter kit: a pair of test leads, a protective holster, and an instruction manual. This allows you to start working immediately after unboxing.

Thanks to its precise construction and resistance to environmental conditions (pollution degree: 2), the BM27s is suitable for both stationary workshop use and field work at altitudes up to 2000 m a.s.l.
