Effective regeneration of installations and heat exchangers

The CILLIT SEK 28 device is a portable station for the chemical removal of deposits, scale, and rust, designed specifically for installations in contact with hot water. Thanks to the forced circulation of the dissolving agent, the cleaning process takes place without the need to dismantle system components. This is crucial when servicing boilers, flow heaters, heat exchangers, and gas or electric boiler rooms. The use of pump driving force allows for deep cleaning even in hard-to-reach places in cooling water circuits and condensing systems, restoring them to their original efficiency.

Application and principle of operation

The main task of the device is to restore the technical efficiency of installations that become contaminated with mineral deposits over time. A layer of scale acts as a thermal insulator, which drastically increases energy consumption and accelerates equipment failure. The CILLIT SEK 28 solves this problem through a closed chemical circuit:

• Forced circulation: A circulation pump (made in an acid-resistant version) pumps the cleaning solution through the installation and then returns it to the tank.
• Material safety: The tank is made of corrosion-resistant plastic, guaranteeing the durability of the device even when working with aggressive chemicals.
• Process control: The set includes a tester for CILLIT solutions, which allows for real-time assessment of the chemical reaction effectiveness and the moment to end the rinsing.

The device is ideal for installation services and end-users who care about the longevity of their heating appliances. Thanks to its compact dimensions (500 x 250 x 350 mm) and a weight of approximately 8 kg, the station is easy to transport between sites.

Key design elements and operating parameters

The device's construction is designed to facilitate installation and operation in the field. The 20-liter tank features a filling opening with a lid and dedicated openings for draining and venting, which eliminates problems with airlocks during operation. For connection, hoses with a length of 2.5 m made of reinforced PVC are used, finished with 3/4 inch reduction nipples.

Operating performance is ensured by a pump with a maximum flow rate of 2400 l/h and a head reaching 8 m of water column. The device can work with liquids at temperatures up to 60°C with a connected load of 170 W. The entire unit is protected against environmental conditions thanks to the IP54 protection class and operates on a standard mains voltage of 230 V / 50 Hz. The pump is made of acid-resistant polypropylene, which is crucial when using strong cleaning agents.

The device holds a PZH certificate, confirming its safety in use. The mains plug is equipped with a built-in switch, facilitating quick power disconnection if necessary. The entire unit is ready to work from the moment it is connected to the electrical network – simply fill the tank with the appropriate CILLIT cleaning agent and start the pump. This makes the installation regeneration process fast, controlled, and cost-effective.
