The FJ203 fire-resistant cord is a reliable solution for sealing expansion joints and gaps in fire compartments. Made of mineral rock wool, surrounded by a flexible glass fiber cover, it provides effective fire protection for masonry or concrete walls and ceilings. Its woven construction guarantees optimal gap filling, minimizing the risk of fire and smoke spreading.

Thanks to its flexibility, it is easy to press into the gaps, and the possibility of one-sided baking further increases work comfort. The product has been tested according to EN 1366-4, which confirms its high effectiveness in fire conditions.

Installation and application – practical benefits

This fire-resistant cord is ideal for places where expansion and contraction gaps occur, ensuring the integrity of fire compartments. Installation is intuitive – simply press the cord with a blunt tool (e.g. a wooden strip) into the inside of the gap. Depending on the width of the gap, a single or double cord can be used, always making sure that the surface of the cord does not protrude beyond the edges of the wall or ceiling.

Cord diameter selection based on gap width: for a width of 5-10 mm, a diameter of 12 mm is recommended, for 11-15 mm – 20 mm, for 16-20 mm – 30 mm, for 21-30 mm – 40 mm, for 31-40 mm – 50 mm, for 41-50 mm – 60 mm, for 51-60 mm – 70 mm, for 61-70 mm – 80 mm, for 71-80 mm – 90 mm, for 81-90 mm – 100 mm and for 91-100 mm – 120 mm.
