Universal gel sleeve for cable connections

The EASY 4V through gel sleeve is a reliable solution for connecting low-voltage cables, both in indoor and outdoor installations – including underground or underwater. The use of insulating gel ensures a durable and safe connection, protecting against moisture and corrosion. The set includes a screw connector, which simplifies and speeds up installation.

The sleeve is designed for N(A)YY cables and others with a conductor cross-section of 16 to 25 mm². This makes it suitable for various applications, from home installations to more demanding industrial projects. It is worth noting that the sleeve is factory-filled with gel, eliminating the need for additional activities related to its introduction.

Features and application

The construction of the EASY 4V sleeve is based on a polypropylene housing resistant to impact and UV radiation. This guarantees its long-term operation even in harsh weather conditions. The silicone gel that fills the inside of the sleeve provides excellent electrical and mechanical insulation of the connection. Importantly, this gel retains its properties throughout the service life and does not require curing after installation.

The rated voltage U0/U (Um) is 0.6/1 (1.2) kV, making it suitable for most standard low-voltage installations. The sleeve is not approved for the mining sector and is not suitable for connecting paper-insulated conductors with plastic-insulated conductors. The set includes cable ties and an Allen key to facilitate installation.
