Fire protection disconnect switch – comprehensive installation protection

This CX2004-SE-W-3P-250A-36kA-B-P-KS2 fire protection disconnect switch is a component of a fire protection system, designed to quickly disconnect power in the event of a hazard. It is a solution based on a disconnector placed in a dedicated housing, equipped with a current-growth trip device. The auxiliary contacts of the switch are used to indicate the device status and to cooperate with the triggering device.

Construction and operating principle

This switch represents the simplest constructional variant, without advanced control over the control installation between the triggering device and the actuator. The power supply of the switch, necessary for its operation, is protected by a phase relay, which ensures its operation even with a voltage failure in one or two phases. The 230VAC trip device ensures reliable operation in a hazardous situation. The triggering and signaling devices operate at 230VAC, which results from the construction of the trip device.

The set includes triggering devices (UU PWP) and signaling devices (US PWP) that work with the switch, creating a complete fire protection system. These devices are adapted to work in an external environment (environmental class 2, degree of protection IP54).

Mounting and physical parameters

The switch is characterized by dimensions: width 400 mm, height 820 mm (plus 250 mm for the cable pocket and 900 mm for the foundation), depth 285 mm. These dimensions should be taken into account when planning the installation and ensuring adequate mounting space.
